working on the fuel lines.Using a Hot Rod City Garage fuel tank with a in tank Warbro 225 pump and baffle. I decided to use 3/8 Aluminum lines (as the steel line is almost impossible to form easy). I had to cut the shock  crossmember so the fuel lines could clear thru. The fittings on the tank are 1/8 NPT. I used 2 1/8 npt to 3/8 24 inverted flare fittings out the tank to 3/8 to 6 AN compression fittings. 3/8 braided fuel line  and the C5 corvette fuel filter regulator (which I mounted near the passenger side seat). I ran 3/8 aluminum fuel line up thru the engine compartment. I am using 6AN to hard line fitting to the fuel rail (which is on order)

Really enjoying this build.  Need to get motivated to get back on mine.  Wanting to run the same suspension as you.  Liking the rear valance.  I want to take the bumper guards out of mine as well.

Great work John!!!  It's really coming together fast.  I see you ended up having to cut the rear shock crossmember too for clearance for the fuel lines.

Before I install the exhaust, I installed the Lokar Emergency brake handle part# 491-7000 and Wilwood universal Emergency brake cables. I ran the brake cables on top of the tunnel. which will be covered with a custom cover and the console.

Really interesting!  How does the spacing work with that hand brake and the main shifter?  Seems like they might be close together. I'd love to see a picture with the 2 of them together.

Nice! I'm going to have to look into that e-brake. Been running without one for the last twenty years.

Lokar also makes an under-dash e-brake that is hand operated instead of foot operated.

Probably easier to retrofit. I'm considering it for my car.

I used that Lokar hand brake and cables for a Lincoln Versailles rear end( 9" Ford with disc brakes) in my Buick. Worked great!  :2thumbs:

Ahh yes, I double checked but that is a good point. this is why I wanted to mock up everything on suspension instead of doing my mods on a rotisserie.   :banghead:

I love what you are doing to the bumpers...did you strip off all the chrome, or just scuff it up and primer them.

Any tips on welding the bumpers?   :swaying:

I used aggressive blast media to remove the chrome off the bumpers and create enough bite for the epoxy primer to bond.

I bought a complete TTI 3 exaust system with Dynomax turbo mufflers for the cuda. With the driveline angle set at 1 deg instead of the factory 3 deg have created somes issues (which I intisipated) First the headpipes hit the floor pan (looks like a hammer and dolly could handles this. The next is the floor pan over the mufflers need to be raised 1 inch for clearance. Third is with the pipes in place (they look like they need some tweeking near the exhaust tip area to fit thru the opening. ( if the exhaust ends up being louder than I want I add some resonators but its too early to tell now til the motor is running and driving) I also have to cycle the suspension up and down to make sure there isnt any interference. It looks close but there is no way to tell with the car sitting on the ground. Since this is a tuned system I will modify the car before tweeking any pipes. Until I get access to a lift again, I will leave the system loose for now. :wavingflag:
