    I can make them here, but would need an order 30 or 40 of them for them to be reasonably priced .  :bigsmile:

    Have you thought about making the front bumper brackets in aluminum (unless you already did and I missed it)?  That could save quite a few pounds.

    After shortening them over a 1" , I shaved off some 2 LBS off them . I also punched holes with dimple dies in areas of the car to save more,trying to concentrate more on the top half of the car to keep the center of balance low..I was thinking of making the upper door hinges out of aluminum plus some other parts. I have some scrap titanium around the shop I thought of using in some areas too. I am always open to Ideas from everyone here to shave more pounds off without effecting strength.

    Saving weight is going to be tuff without going fiberglass or carbon fiber on some or all the body panels.

    On a street car I wouldn't sacrifice  a few ponds over safety and comfort, but the cool factor maybe...

    I think the weight savings from a couple of holes in the dash frame will be made up in your console. I'm guessing the finished product weighs more than a stock Cuda  :banghead:

      :iagree: save a pound here save a pound there ,it all adds up.I think i have saved 50 or so pounds so far with my billet parts and mods.I dont want to sacrifice comfort safety and driveablity for sure. But if i got the equipment and time why not? + I'm having fun!!! Fiberglass weighs more for the same strength though, personally I like all steel car myself, Having a AAR Cuda cured me from ever wanting a fiberglass body panel again.(Hence the poor quality and inferior durability) . Carbon fiber is the bomb....

    Some more minor progress I had been busy with my business so the car has taken a back seat in the last couple of months. I moved my wheels out ( 1 inch on the rear and 1/2 on the fronts) I had to roll the wheel lips. I was about to do the ole baseball bat and jack routine to do them but I decided to try the Eastwood lip tool.  It worked well,l it took about a 1/2 hr a wheel lip. I also had to remove some floor pan material because the big 3 inch mufflers were only a 1/2 inch from the floor( I thought it was too close).This is the result of having the driveline angle at 1 deg down instead of the normal 3 deg . I will make a raised section over the muffler to give it some circulation . I still have a slight  issue with the pipes in the back . I want to get it at ride height soon to address that.

    Its a street lynx from RMS ,  I figured it to be the best set up to run the TTI 3 pipes out back without any major pipe interference , since Bill helped design the exhaust system for TTI around his rear suspension.

    I havent post much in a while, Here are some pictures of some work I did making some flush mounted taillights. Trying to keep the theme of keeping the car with smooth transitions. The bezels are made from 16 ga CRS sheetmetal and will be welded fully into the tailight panel to lose the seam around the taillights. I plan on finishing up the body mods soon and loose end here and there to pull it down for paint this fall.
