Lurker Saying Hello
« on: February 27, 2011 - 07:16:30 PM »
so ive been here awhile.  some of you may recognize me.  i post occasionally, but I never owned an ebody, so I prefered to stay in the background.  Ive owned my charger for 10 years now.  i didnt know about mopar, i knew about the Dukes of Hazzard.  like so many people my age, i grew up on the show and fell in love with the general.  i knew i had to have one.  when it finally came time, my father asked what i thought about challengers.  i wasnt having none of that at the time.  i needed my general.  but in buying the charger i was introduced into the mopar world.  i went to the shows, paid closer attention to the models, and got intrigued.  i had to take my time, but I knew id own a challenger some day.  well that day is today...

this is good news for the board too.  as an admin ive never been as proactive as i shouldve been.  but now ill be here much more often asking questions, posting pictures, telling stories, and being more involved with board affairs.

as for the car, shes a 70 T/A, numbers block, tranny, 4 speed.  good body, just a touch of rust bubbles in the lower rear passenger fender.  good interior.  base gauge cluster.  i actually kinda like the gauges though.  I like having them all seperate instead of in one big gauge.  i dont have a tach, but i would always put an autometer in anway.  the engine sounds a little too much like a motorhome for me, but i guess thats just me being used to the heavy cammed 440 in the charger.  gotta get CP to come put a cam in for me sometime.  oh and the kicker, as fate would have it, i knew she was the one when i discovered we were born on the same day!  few years apart, but the mopar gods were speaking to me.  hope you guys like the pics!
