Just finished making a valley tray for my 451" project. Used stainless button head socket head cap screws for the removeable plate.

I was having trouble with fuel boiling on very hot days in traffic so I bought a new intake to experiment with. I adapted a bilge blower from a boat ( also used in racing to cool the brakes) I'm using a six pack style lid so it should hide the blower.

I had a go at building my won strut rods and no one had adjustable ones with a rod end that mounted in rubber. They have been in use for over a year now and are working great! Sure makes adjusting the front end a snap! :2thumbs:

If anyone wants to build your own sway bar tabs for the lower control arms, here is what I did.

Had to adjust the pinion angle for the new Dana with the composite springs so I machined up these angled shims (3degs) with the side parts built in to keep the u-bolts from contacting the composite spring.

Reading the intro to this thread, I'd have to say what I've made doesn't fit into the mechanical or electrical category, just the creative. My uncle used to run a bar which he closed recently, this left him with quite a few beer tap handles. He'd been wanting to use them as bottle openers and this is the solution I came up with.

The design is simple. One 20mm dia. stainless steel nut and one 3/8" dia. UNC Imperial 1" stainless steel bolt. Drill 8.5mm dia hole into nut, run a 3/8 tap into the hole. Cut the head off the hex head of the bolt and use a thread lock to hold place. Cut a small section from the nut such as in the images to create the final head shape.

Most beer taps use a 3/8" course thread so this design is universal and creates a unique and satisfying bottle opener!

:) that will do the job.   Those handles would make pretty cool hotrod shifters too
