Exhaust tips
« on: March 01, 2011 - 05:21:26 PM »
Well after jumping through hoops I finally got the tips. They are for the 40Th Pink SRT's only. My parts guy had to get special permission from the central office to even get them. They are in inventory but the head guy at the warehouse in Minneapolis could not authorize the sale. I picked them up this morning. They cannot even get a set to put in the Pro shop at the dealer. This is the only set they are aloud. They will be for sale sometime this summer through the dealers but not just now. I think these are just SWEET!

Neato!  Looks very similar to the old Challenger tips.  Why didn't they use these to begin with?  :clueless:

Keep us updated!  Want to see what they look like on the car!  :grinyes:

I will not be able to get my car out for maby 2 more months. Here they are on someone else car. If you order the Mopar catback exhaust they come on that system also.

Nice addition Ken. I don't recommend you paint the car pink though.   :grinno:

That's odd, my part guy had no issues getting the tips.  I have some on order and they should be here shortly.  And they are on FF R/T's as well he said.  I will dig up the part numbers when I get home.

They do look awesome though.

Thanks for the pic!  They look pretty cool!  Would be cool if the factory offered these stock since so many car companies have that "quad tip" exhaust stock.  :2cents:

This is what puzzled Randy the parts guy at the dearer ship. He check and found 1 set in Fl. and 1 set in Oh. They had 8 sets in the depot in Minneapolis. The problem was the manager of the warehouse didn't have the authority to authorization to let them go. Randy had to go up the ladder to corporate to get the authorization to be aloud to receive them. They were aloud only 1 set until the release this summer. According to others on other sites they are getting them some ware from on line sellers but Randy cannot figure out where these sellers are getting them. I had mine on order for a month before Randy did some checking and came up with this info. I ordered the set as apposed to getting the separate. The price was way less as a set.

What are they getting for a set of those tips?

If you order them separately they list for $179 each. As a set they list for $270. Randy quoted me $125 each or $200 for the set. I ordered the set number on the box in the first picture. The problem according to the info Randy got is they are not releasing the sets till sometime this summer. I don't know about ordering them separately. If you need the separate part numbers I can get them for you.

For other information Summit sells an aftermarket set for the new Challenger also. They are made by PYPES and are $163. They don't have M cast on them though.

Here is where I learned about them.

Here you can get them.

That's where I found out about them also. Have you gotten yours yet? I'm curious if they come as a set or are the listed individual and the add says. It looks like they sell them as a set but are ordering the individual part numbers. That may be where the problem come in. I ordered the set that is listed under a single part number.

OUCH!!!!!!!!!!! Sorry to here that. I hope they get it all looking great again. This always scares me when I out and about. I've been rear ended twice so now when I'm at a light I keep an eye on the mirror and always leave room in case I need an escape route. Please let us know how it comes out.
