About 10-12 miles away... it's got an outdoor pool (a MUST!) and a breakfast (light stuff), GREAT parking area and is right off the main drag that will take us right to the fairgrounds!!

Good news Cuda_Kid, I was wondering when you'd poke your head in again to let us know that you'll be there again this year.  How's the 'Cuda going?  The last I remember, you needed to get some door panels in and a few other miscellanous interior parts back in it.

I love to lie and say its done.....But in reality between work & school there are months that I forget that I even still own it.   :'(

My big project this year will be to replace the battery so that I don't have to jump the relay posts after it warms up.    If that doesn't fix it - I'm counting on getting advice from Chryco  :dontknow:

OK - dummy question time.

I'm going to reserve my room here shortly. Still trying to get my brother on board, so I'm gonna tell him he's gotta move it or lose it.

1) still rooms available, right?  LB you said earlier till June I belive.
2) Also, you said starting Thursday, so that's 3 days right? Check in Thurs(1) Fri(2) Sat(3) and check out Sun.

Still excited about the whole thing, should be great!

BB73 I believe that answer to both those questions are YES unless you plan on going to the show on Sunday and then returning home on Monday!  Your choice!   :grinyes:

Good deal!

I was wondering what the bulk of peoples plans were as I was going to come down with the group "wagon train" style and wanted to drive back up at least most of the way with a group as a "just in case anything happens" plan.

Being a relative newb here, I just caught this thread today.

I'd like to try to make it to Carlisle but I'm going to have to lite a fire under some peoples rear ends to get my Challenger ready. I'll have to plan this out very carefully if I want to be able to make it to Carlisle this year.

I just bought it 3 days before Christmas and still need to get it running. The car is in PA at a friend's dad's body shop and I'm stationed in Puerto Rico (U.S.Navy). That makes it a bit difficult to get things done and slows the process down quite a bit :( .

How are "works in progress" cars looked at for going to Carlisle? I haven't been to a major Mopar show before so I don't really know what to expect. Can soneone fill me in  :???:

My 'Cuda's been a work in process for over 5 years & I don't see its status chanigng for at least 2 more years.    For the most part the people that "have been there" understand & appreciate the effort we are making.   Project cars don't get the attention that show cars or survivors get, but hey they're not done yet!

If anyone poiints & laughs you can bet they don't have a clue as to what it takes to save these cars.

I just talked to my friend in PA about Carlisle. He said my cars are only about an hour away from there! Things are looking up for the event. I may be able to :dogpile: with the rest of you this year even if I can't get the car going in time.

I'm still damn sure going to try to get it going though  . Hmmm. Hey CP, do you feel like coming down early to give me some help getting it going?  :burnout:

Here's what I'm up against. Engine is complete and not frozen but it's condition is otherwise unknow. I don't know when the car was last running but everything is still there. It's a 318 2bbl with a TF (904?/727?) and a 8&3/4 SG rear with HD springs and front disk brakes. It almost sounds like a RT/Rally optioned car but I 'm not sure that it really is one. Any idea how I can tell some one who is a non-Mopar guy to confirm or disprove what it is?

There are some usual rust spots (lower quarters, lower fenders etc...) but the car seems very solid for the most part.

BTW: Can someone tell me exactly what that box thingy is on the front of the console and what it's worth?

 Oh my gosh,
That box thingie is a cassette player. Very rare option. That's probably worth as much as your car if it works :grinyes: It's not correct for your model year, but what a nice added bonus for you.
