360 engine

Is there a best year for a 360 engine, LA style not a magnum?  Did any of them come with forged cranks? I'm doing some research to buy a used 360 and am wondering if any are better than others.

No forged crank for 360's. Early 360's (71 - 73) supposedly share the 340 casting molds, allowing another .040 of overbore or cylinder wall thickness.

at the same time, the later ones are supposedly cast with better iron, and the late blocks (89-92) have provisions for roller lifters.
