That was just awesome! I loved it! Man I was just a kid during those days but somehow I sure long for those times again! I remember buddies brother and Uncles having cool cars like that. Most weren't rich but jobs were plentiful cars were cheap, gas was cheap, less rules and regulations.....simpler times!
I think I should have been born 20-30 years earlier! :grinyes:

Watching this especially the first one made me realize it's not just my car that handles like a dump truck! :smilielol:  Hopefully it will be much better this summer with all the Hotchkis parts I threw at it over the winter!

I remember those days!  It was 1974.  I had a 4 speed 68 Roadrunner I picked up for 800 bucks.  One friend had a 69 GTX.  One had a 69 Roadrunner.  One had a 70 cuda.  One had a 65 mustang fastback. A 70 Chevelle.  65 comet.  We were nuts and it was a blast.  I joined the Navy and got married.  Things were different after that.
I may be schizophrenic,
but at least I have each other

As a "Youngin", I remember the streeet races on Saturday nights. Even got to flag a couple every now and then. There was a 1972 Chevy El Camino, a 1967 Ply. Satellite, my 1965 Ply. Satellite, a 1966 dodge Coronet, a 1970 Chevy Camaro..All of 'em used to get out in the "1/4" we had stepped off. Man, we thought we's somethin' back then...

That is why I like the vintage footage and designed my car to have the era correct day 2 look. It was a era that we will probably never see again. Brads70 said it best "Most weren't rich but jobs were plentiful cars were cheap, gas was cheap, less rules and regulations.....simpler times!

That brings back a lot of memories!  The dude in the Roadrunner @ 4:00 learned what I learned about my Roadrunner, NEVER punch it unless you're pointing straight at where you want to go.  These cars don't drift but they'll swap ends in a blink of an eye! At least when I did it I wasn't pulling into traffic, not too smart.  But there was a lot of that back then as I recall.
