Newbie 2 E-body to share.
« on: March 04, 2011 - 11:01:42 PM »

Gran Coupe Barracuda Ragtop
My signature is AARuFASTMy son turned 16 in 1985 and we purchased a rough 1970 Barracuda 318.
Need a lot of love,  Later in the year we found an AAR in the local paper which we purchased. It was Dark Ivy Green and in need of a repaint,  I choose to go with Moulan Rouge, but my son was not happy with a pink car. When we entered it in the first car show it won 1st place, I looked at him with his S--- eating grin and told him to get his trophy for his pink car. What a girl catcher car it was with him. And many trophy's over the years,
I have always wanted a Convertible and found a Gran Coupe Convertible on ebay in 2008 just in time for Christmas. It is a numbers matching with some changes by the previous owner.
He removed the trailer hitch, luggage rack, Barracuda emblems, replaced rear valance with cutouts for exhaust extensions since California did not allow them.. he added a spoiler, hockey stick, top should be white,
Dash pad reproduced should be matching color Deep Burnt Orange Metallic paint.
Build date 9 2 9 early build.
Build Sheet Y-13 code ( dealer demo ) Some Dealer owners purchases car with every option available to promote the new series 1970 E-body models.
This is 1 of 66 w/ 383 4 bl  335 HP, with HD 727 Trans, AC, PDiscB, PS, P Top, P windows, 6 way seat, Heavy duty suspension, tinted glass, am 8 track, Rallye Dash, Rim Blow, Duel chrome mirrors, Luggage Rack, trailer package, even a Chrome locking gas cap is listed on build sheet.
I changed the 14 in Mag wheels to 15 in Rallye wheels, matching interior Deep Burnt Orange. Luxury car with a lot of muscle, Have looked at most of your
cars listed on this web site and I say the E-body's are the greatest muscle car of the 70's.
