67vertman, help me understand something. When shifting the Passon overdrive gear set retro fit, 1st and 2nd is in the normal position, but when shifting into 3rd do you need to bring the shifter into what was the normal 4th position? Then when you want OD you need to shift into what was the normal 3rd position?

No, the shift pattern remains the same "H" . When I get the 5 sp the pattern will change somewhat, reverse will no longer be left and up, but right and down, just like a modern 5 speed.

3&4 are reversed by flipping the shift lever upside down on the side of the transmission. Normal H pattern but now 1-2-3-OD

Ah Ha, thanks. Some how I got the idea that the shift pattern would be weird.

It is funny you should mention that.  :grinno: :banghead: When I got my trans, it didn't have the lever installed and when I looked on how to install them, all the diagrams showed the 3/4 lever facing up....when I got everything installed and started the car and took it for a test drive forth gear was in the third gear position.  :eek2: talk about being scared that I screwed something up.  :screwy:

Great idea, great product. :worshippy
Huge business failure :sadwavey: He should have outsourced it to a major manufacture or sold the patent to a company large enough to turn them out like wild fire and just sit back and collect his share of every sale !

Do you have an OD from them? How many $$ and how long they need to deliver?

I decided not to do an OD, just an 18 spline Hemi 833.  Total was about $6k to my door, 2.5 days take out everything with the 727 and install everything with the 833 included FatMat sound deadener.  Order to delivery was 2 months, but Brewers had just received a bunch of orders from a bigger event so it could be shorter.  The kit included everything you need except the speedo gear because they assume you are taking it off your 727, so order one if you need one.

My friend ordered the OD 4 speed from Passon in January. We finally got it about a month ago but short a few pieces and the wrong clutch. It was about $10k CDN in the end. We're still waiting for the clutch fork and shift rod, Jamie sent the proper clutch as soon as he could. I know he's a great guy but I think he's at the mercy of suppliers. This hobby isn't that much fun anymore, too dang expensive and all the cool parts in the catalogs aren't necessarily available.
