BE&A, but I think they sell the whole piece...not just a woodgrain sticker.  You get the whole top plate with the woodgrain already on it.

As someone who's been down this road, I would say your results will be less than satisfactory. The old decal is a real pain to get off, and the new decal will start peeling after a few years. I was lucky enough to find and original top plate in great shape as a replacement. If you can afford it, maybe the re-pro burdar suggested will work. That looks like the 71-74 style top plate that has 5 screws. 70 only has 4 screws.

If you want to try the wood grain decal yourself, here is a link...

not to hijack the thread but has anyone tried one of these,,

That is another alternative, but it doesn't have the chrome trim around the outside. To be honest, I would buy this over trying to put a decal on.

If you look at the BE&A link, they have both the 1970 top plate and the 71-74.

If you want to try a sticker, WD-40 will take the old one off in a hurry.

WD-40 thanks for that insight. I would like to get a sticker because my top plate is in perfect condition.

I'm looking into this too as the re-pro plate I got had a BS decal on it that has begun to shrink over time creating some funky bubbles / warping around the screw holes. Looks like crap in my otherwise pristine interior. :-(

There's a seller on ebay that claims to have a decal that's made from thicker, textured vinyl more like original. I'll let you know how it comes out. (search: DMT cuda woodgrain)

When I first got my car in March 09 I had bought the woodgrain sticker from Year One.

I used a razor blade and heat gun to get my old one off, and wd40/goo gone to get the remaining adhesive off.

Cleaned with alcohol really well, let dry, and then applied the sticker.

It was two years this last marhc and knock on wood, no issues yet.

They make a thick heavy shelf liner in wood grain that is real close to what is on the console plate and dash. Some is lighter and some darker too. You could cut your own and it holds real well on shelves and it does not shrink. Just a thought if you wanted to make your own. It comes in a nice walnut too. I was going to try it when mine needs to be replaced on the dash and on the console.
