my 71 Charger has to go ... Offers ?
« on: March 09, 2011 - 10:36:51 AM »
I have a B5 blue 72 charger cloned into a 71 , it has the 71 louvered hood & R/T taillights as well as the 71 side lights cut in . The car was rotisserie restored & painted with epoxy primer & B5 blue in base clear paint. The bumpers & door handles are also painted .
Every part is new or has been restored front to back
It has a new 440 with 509 cam , M1 single plane intake , Holley DP carb , 6 blade clutch fan ,Ceramic caoted hedman headers , Griffin alum rad , Mopar cast alum valve covers , Mcleod blastshield & clutch as well as a hyd release system , 4 spd 833 OD , new driveshaft .
It has the Poly suspension & All new Moog parts , Cordoba 12" brakes, TTi 3" x pipe exhaust, the rear brakes are all new 10" drums on an 8 3/4 " diff which has been rebuilt . It has  new fuel lines , brakes line & hoses & new fuel tank & sender & also has a Holley electric fuel pump . Front factory sway bar & rear Ebody sway bar . Subframe connectors are also installed to stiffen the chassis .
The interior is new as well with new headliner , carpet , Dash pad etc & has the ralley dash with tach & 150 speedo . It has the correct 4 speed hump welded in with Pistol grip shifter but no console . The battery is in the trunk & has welding cable for battery cables .
The body was rust free & straight before the resto started .
The car is very fast & powerful , it is geared to run Open road racing events , idles @ 80 mph in 4th gear , I have had it over 140 MPH in 3rd gear below 5000 rpm !!
Over 50 k invested to build this car + the cost of the body initially , interested in getting 26k out
make a reasonable offer  . Contact for more details

I'm not in the market but I'm curious to see some pictures? You have mentioned this car a few times over the years.

Pic's... :useless:

I would be careful with the term "reasonable".  To some, that's almost free. :drunk:

I like the look of the interiors , door panels, the ralleye guages, and the RR / GTX 4-speeds had a cuda style pistol grip and console. They were very nice.

Where are you advertised it for sale so far?
The funniest thing about this particular signature is that by the time you realize it doesn't say anything it's to late to stop reading it.

Chryco took me for a ride in this car when I was working kinda close in his area. We stopped and had a steak dinner and when we parked his car in the lot, he had quite a few people checking it out the whole time we were inside. The picture doesn't do the color any justice.  He has a few tricked out features on the car to.   Also the 4 spd is an over drive unit. It has an unreal top end to it. And runs smooth in top speeds.  The car is very solid and clean.

I'd toss it up on the Charger site!  That thing is cool!!   :clapping:     Lot's of people have been putting wings on these lately. Been noticing these are becoming more popular too. Good luck with the sale! Looks like a great car. R/T
