I doubt I will ever go to the Mats again at least for the shrot term , while I love the show it is in the middle of my busiest season unlike before so now it is very difficult to get there even though I love the show there ..
I can promise you the car is going away , I am out of options & favors . Soo if you are interested ........

Unsure why this hasn't sold yet. Looks like a very nice car. Different time - different ambitions I might want to take a serious look at it. Right now any serious offer would involve a payment plan (and probably me sleeping in the garage with it and the 'Cuda   :clueless: )

Hmmmm, I am going to heat it this spring.............

Niel,

I'm in northern Alberta and would be happy to advertise the car at the local car shows etc, maybe even store it if your interested. Lots of big money in the area so you never know..... What would be your rock bottom dollar??

It seems like it can be a big issue. It must have documentation stating it meets US safety standards and emission standards. Must have a customs form as well. I have done a little searching to find those things out. The biggest fear is not having the corect documents while standing at the border station. Then what?

documentation would definitely be a concern, if you were buying from someone other than Chryco, i think we can all sleep at night knowing he will have all the necessary documentation as well as his knowledge and experience with moving cars internationally, those things considered, i wouldnt be worried.

Neil do you have anymore detailed pictures? Engine bay etc.... hard to sell a car with one or 2 pictures? I'm sure knowing you it's a sweet car but others might need more pictures?

I don't know about going into the USA but coming the other way is no big deal. Just have to inform the USA side 3 buisness days ahead of time with the vin and it gets checked for leins and if it's stolen, pay your taxes and away you go. Here there is a list of cars mostly newer imports that are not allowed in due to safety regs etc... but a Charger is no problem.

More information can be better, or more confusing? Maybe someone has done this before and knows how to do it. I found this information on

http://www.nhtsa.gov/cars/rules/import/FAQ%20Site/pages/page2.html#Anchor-13029

It states form HS-7 Declaration form, Box 1 can be checked if the vehicle is at least 25 years old, and has the manufacturer's date of manufacture sticker still applied to the driver door. It has the VIN on it.

Now my local MVD told me they want documentation from the manufacturer stating it conforms. That could become an argument with a bunch of knuckleheads that is not winnable?

8. Importing a vehicle that is at least 25 years old.

A motor vehicle that is at least 25 years old can be lawfully imported into the U.S. without regard to whether it complies with all applicable FMVSS. Such a vehicle would be entered under Box 1 on the HS-7 Declaration form to be given to Customs at the time of importation. If you wish to see that form, you may download a copy from our website at www.nhtsa.dot.gov/cars/rules/import. You should note that the 25 year period runs from the date of the vehicle's manufacture. If the date of manufacture is not identified on a label permanently affixed to the vehicle by its original manufacturer, to establish the age of the vehicle, you should have documentation available such as an invoice showing the date the vehicle was first sold or a registration document showing that the vehicle was registered at least 25 years ago. Absent such information, a statement from a recognized vehicle historical society identifying the age of the vehicle could be used.
