Some of you guys are lucky---none of my bolts/nuts/parts ever hit the ground. Some how they always find a little shelf/hole to fall into.

How I feel some days.

I lost a lash cap one time , we knew it did not go into a black hole but what 3 hrs later found it sitting on the K frame / sway bar strap.
 The other time that comes to mind we had the engine on the mobile service oil rig torn apart , dropped the o ring for the cooler as it came off , no new O ring provided with the part of course so you need to understand these get paid $1000s / hr so down time is a huge cost & it would have been at least 24 hrs to ship in the o ring , took about 3 hours to find it wedged into the tread of the tire of the truck in the next bay !

Its a subsection of Murphys law. If you drop something, it will find the farthest and most hidden spot to end up. Thats why I usually start my looking there

And you never drop a common bolt. Oh no, it always has to be that correct don't have another one in the old bolt bucket.
