Time for new exhaust for my 74 Challenger 340. Thinking about the Pypes system listed by Summit on Ebay. Anyone have any experience with them? I am looking for a decent sound but not so loud as to be obnoxiuos.

Not sure about the whole system, but I got to warn you about the tips.
They etch their stupid name right on top where visible.

Not having anything to compare to I'd say it's a pretty good deal, not show quality or perfect fit but I think most of the X-pipe kits are a trim to fit...none come with head pipe or collectors for headers so you have to make something to connect at the cross-member at the rear of the tranny. I also had to get creative with the hangars at the very rear. You will need a chop saw & welder if you do the headers.
Sound with the headers is about the same as I recall stock (they have 3-mufflers to choose from)...not too loud but has a nice low rumble.
I bought 304 Stainless by Pypes, ordered through Summit
http://www.summitracing.com/parts/PYE-SME11S/
, paid 350 for the system 50 for collectors
http://www.summitracing.com/parts/PYE-PVR16S/
& Magnaflo 180 shipped for 25 to make the transition

...I see prices are up

I ended up ordering a Magnaflow system off Ebay, $423 less a 10% Ebay email coupon. Magnaflow is out of stock til Mar 21, I can wait-the exhaust I have now is driveable.
