8.9 man that is just incredible. Tsunami watch is on out here.

The 7.9 we had threw me in the air 3 feet. I couldn't imagine what 8.9 would do.

One thing about Japan is that they are probably the most Earthquake /Tsunami prepared nation in the world. So hopefully it 's not going to be widespread for them.

The sunami hit Hawaii with minimal impat supposedly.

Don't underestimate the tsunami potential on this one on the west coast!  If you get a warning, don't blow it off.

The main force of the undersurface wave could go anywhere there have been lots of reports of Solar Flare activity around China and Southamerica I bet the solar radiation is loosening up some of the magma and causing minor techtonic slippage. The sun has been spotless for quite a while until recently melting the soft chocolate. I have been to japan 3 times in the last 10 years and find it unfortunate I even heard reports that they are missing a train, boat off the coast , I have said a prayer. :angelwings:

Taking the board out right now. It has some dings in it I really needed to repair but if it's big I'll ride. Cheap-o foam board anyway. Wish I was closer to Encinitas.

Santa Cruz Yacht Harbor just had one boat sank. Others knocked off their moors. The wave swelled in and rushed back out doing the damage.

The boats in San Mateo are damaged not destroyed. Santa Cruz took a major hit. Water is running out of the harbor like a river right now.
