I specifically sought out a 72-74 because of the tail lights.  I didn't care about gills or AAR or history this and that.  I have always loved the Barracuda/Cuda...  having any of them is a special thing.

They're ALL just so dang cool!

Shadango, when people ask you what motor, just tell them "small block" and smile. There's too many strokers out there for people to guess low on their own.

Do I like the 1971 hemi cuda?  YES, but I own a 73. That's all I am thankful for.  period.

I want you to know I've saved pictures of your car to show me just how good my 73 Barracuda could look when I'm done with it.  I also wanted your Cuda in the Calendar, maybe next year!

 I really like my 318 for now.....if it ever dies I will get into a stroker small block I think....makes sense to me....I have so many new parts invested in the small block.

....although I do have to say....before I got my car I looked at a 73 (?) Duster owned by an older gentleman in Ohio....the body needed a lot of TLC but the 440HP motor he had built and put into that car sounded AWESOME......fenderwell headers and glass packs.

Cant beat that sound....I think my 318 sounds good...I really do....as does the 318 in my Dakota...but like I said, I do love the sound of a big block.

They are all beautiful cars!!!!!!!!!!!  It's hard to see and E body of any year these days. They just don't seem to come out much anymore for what ever reason.

Hmmm...after some thought I decided to add my 2¢.

Each passing year as the cuda evolved closer to extinction, minor changes were made to keep up with the current times of that era.
Gas prices, oil embargoes, emissions, and what ever else was happening left its mark on the auto industry.
My cuda came with a de-tuned smog equipped 340 and rubber bumperettes. 
It cost me $3,911.10 brand spanking new!
Oh WELL!  It's mine! and at the end of the day I can live with that.

Do I like the 1971 hemi cuda?  YES, but I own a 73. That's all I am thankful for.  period.


Love your "73.your back end stance reminds me of when i had my 71 charger.always got hassled by the cops for having my a$$ end to high.  :lol:
