I agree it should be repealed, but dont know if it will. Unfortunately, Newt is definitely not the last word.
As for 15% being uninsured, for the most part, I am sure that is by their choice. This is a free country, or at least is supposed to be, and you shouldnt have to pay for health insurance if you dont want too. A lot of able bodied and indestructible 21 to 30+ year olds dont feel they need it, and dont purchase it. Its their choice!
As for those who just cant afford it, or are uninsurable, most hospitals cannot turn them away, so care is available. But for those who decided not to purchase insurance, and would otherwise be bankrupted by a serious issue, that was their choice too. Sorry if a medical condition has bankrupted anyone here. I dont mean to offend, but no where in the constitution is health insurance, nor even food, clothing and shelter guaranteed, but countless programs exist at all levels of government and in the private sector, charitable organizations, churches, etc. to assist those that need. Not everything should be governments job!!
My guess is that, like the general public, most on this site agree it should be abolished as soon as possible.
