looking for 70 fenders/parts
« on: March 21, 2011 - 05:33:18 PM »
working on my 70 chall fenders I noticed the previous butcher, I mean owner cut a 45 degree piece out both fenders on the bottom front lower piece that is in the wheel opening.  I'm looking for that piece for both  L&R fenders may be some one has fenders that are not worthy of repair and wants to sell these "patch panels". I don't need complete fenders but will consider if the price is affordable.  Hopefully I posted the pictures

Thanks, I am slowly progressing with the body work.  I would like to have it drivable by the summer,  but you know how that goes.  Its been on the rotissery for 4-5 years, 2 years too long

You know, i thought there was a guy up in Long Island selling a pair of fenders for a cheap price......

Either way, i'll keep you posted. It will at least be a couple months before i paint mine, but i could hack out what you need if the time works out.

Post a pic of what you need.  I keep all kinds of sheet metal parts around instead of junking them for occasions such as this.  I may have what you need.

I have the passenger side if you want it. I had the same problem, can't use the fender but the section your talking about is good. Post a pic of the exact area you want cut. No charge just shipping.  Matt

BTW need a 70-71 right/passenger fender if anyone has one. I'm in Colorado

I have an old Cuda fender that is good in that area.  Not sure if that would work though.  Let me know.

I wonder what the reason for cutting that part of the fender off is?  I have seen this more than once.

Ok here are the pics. Do you want me to cut off the square area or cut cut the whole section off above the body line? There's a pic of the back side too, just a little surface rust and some leftover plum crazy lol. Matt

Brotow, just wanted to make you know this is the right/passenger side

The Cuda fender is different.  The reason for cutting the fenders is for wide tire clearance.
