    Monster Mopar moves to Indy

    Just read this over at DC.com and its listed on the Indy web page...

    The Indy event is now "OFFICIALLY" the new location for Monster Mopar Weekend.
    Scott Sieveking is now the promoter for the event.
    It is confirmed for Sept. 23-25 at Lucas Oil Raceway in Indianapolis.

    It's a very large car show, drag race, cruse & swap meet in the Midwest. It use to be in St. Louis but gateway speed way closed.
    Now it's at IRP in Indy

    The day I learned the show moved to Indy was the day I read online that Gateway has a potential buyer. Has anybody heard anything new about Gateway? The local drag racers all claim the strip could open as early as July. The oval is pretty much toast. Again this is all rumor. It might be possible for Monster Mopar to go back home in 2012!

    Rumor also, that Scott sold the show to the new owner. It's now up to him where it will be.
