CudadGuy You want some eye candy?
« on: March 25, 2011 - 09:56:24 PM »
Hey Don, While you are over in Afganistan supporting us here in the USA, I am moving forward a little each day inching your project to Carlisle time.  Here is something to give you insomnia for a day or two. Don't get too distracted tho, we want you to come home in good shape.

Here is what you have

Full CNC ported and blended 440 source heads, set up with all 10 degree stuff and clearanced for 3/8ths push rods
Short block with billet steel main caps and girdle
Balanced 493 stroker with diamond forged pistons and total seal rings
eagle rods and crankshaft  all balanced local
Fluid dampner
Indy dual plain intake
proform 950 carb
comp cam roller set up

The Indy intake out the box needs machine work yet. , still need to install the valley pan, need a new bronze distributor drive. The one I have if for milodon long rotor, need to make push rods and set the valves, dip stick, mounts and other small items yet. But you are well on your way

Don is shooting for having fun.  His fun mix is  this engine, 4k stall 727, 373 dana, 2 1/8th inch hookers with 3 inch exhaust and some good sticky tires with the suspension set to bite the ground   It is his cruise toy.  No specific ET set

Nope,  but will fit on a glass hood with scoop.  Or even a flat oem with bonded scoop.

Very nice guys, that thing should run real good... :2thumbs:

As far as a hood , I think a modified AAR hood would look kind of stock & awesome at the same time..
