So where are you staying?

I grew up in Harrisburg, so we are staying closer to there, because we'll be visiting my family as well.

There's a Microtel in Enola, about 15 miles up 81 from Carlisle.  Rooms are small, and it's not my favorite place to stay.  But it's affordable.

Yeah I'd certainly recommend bringing a Chrysler product and just parking inside the fairgrounds.  If you really want to hide it, park WAAAY in the back of the grounds behind the Neon's/Stratus/Breeze/Cirrus/PT Cruiser area (no one goes to look at those things anyways!)  There's always a bunch of open area back there, and honestly no one will even see ya.

Holy crap we gotta lotta people coming it looks like!!

Anyone interested in reserving a buffet on Saturday night?  For three years now we've gone to "Your Place Restaurant and Bar" in Mechanicsburg.  The only complaint I've ever heard was, "It took a long time to get our food" - which makes sense 'cause they're a small local place and aren't used to our size of crowd.

But we can do a buffet - pizzas, salads, pastas, soups, and sandwiches (they'll change up as we consume...) and it's only $10 or $12 per person, plus drinks.  I think it's only $10, but we haven't done it in a while...  Then there's NO waiting - eat as soon as you arrive!  Of course, if they let us come BACK this year (DAVE....) I'm sure everyone will have a blast.  The past 2 years there have been great.

Isn't that kinda frowned upon?  If it is common practice, I might go for that. But I would feel kinda funny parking the ole quad cab in a show line.

Its a "Fun Field".  And you'll be parked with like trucks.  Some are pretty well used in the classes, others are just, well, pretty.  Like DoNot said, its a better deal and better parking!

oh, and the trucks are on the hill, not a high traffic zone.

Heck, my challenger still has a bambi and tree branch damaged fender on it, (and obligatory roof rot) and I'll be parked with the rest of the Challengers!

I parked the 1990 cummins diesel there 2 years ago. I towed the car and brought 3 people so it was the best deal for tickets. I delivered my little tent & cooler to my car and then parked it with the rest of the trucks. I got third with the cuda but was not sure if anyone else other then me voted for my truck.

Just registered my car tonight. I put down CC.com as the club so maybe we will have enough for the free tent deal?  :dunno:

You'll be fine as long as you park in your class area.  :2thumbs:  It's a better deal to park inside, one price for the weekend. If you park outside, you have to pay to park, Plus to get into the show evryday. It's a lot easier if your car/truck is inside. Coolers. chairs, etc. Heck, one year I had my daily driver there and ended up getting 3rd place.  :roflsmiley: :roflsmiley:

 :iagree: Same here.

The funniest thing about this particular signature is that by the time you realize it doesn't say anything it's to late to stop reading it.

Just decided Im going too......which is good because this is the last day to pre-register with a discount! Figured this is the last time I can enter the young guns class and since I haven't gone to Carlisle in 5+ yrs, I figured it was time to go again. Just need to find a hotel room :ylsuper:
