in all reality the one for 1600 is pretty much just as good of a starting point as mine. I mean the wood on mine is in a lot better condition but its still not good enough to be re-used. Every piece of wood on mine will have to be replaced. The only advantage to mine might be that i have better pieces of wood to make my patterns. Id like to maybe try to make a door for it this summer just to see if my wood working skills are good enough. Like my dad said "the good thing about wood is if you screw up on a piece, throw it away and start again.
I have all the woodie specific parts for it. All the inner door assemblies, latches and handles and what not, and the aluminum pieces that run the length of the roof to hide the vinyl top line.
Also the original motor has not run in 40 years. Would it be worth the extra money that it would cost to have it rebuilt vs buying one that is already in good running order? As im sure its not easy to find parts for this motor
