I'm no expert, but that's not a bad deal.  Others may say the price is high, and it may be slightly.  But if the interior looks as good as the exterior it's an ok price.  The reason I say this is because I've kept an fairly accurate running tab of the money I've spent on my 70 Challenger and it's right at 12k ( no labor included).  And my car is a 20-20 car at best!

Like the article in the YearOne catelog says, it cost 2-3times the price of the car to move up in quality.  These cars aren't getting cheaper.  If I had it all to do over I would spend the extra money to get what I wanted.  Even if you held out and find a "mint" car for double this price, say 25K, it'll be the same as buying a brand new loaded Honded accord!

Just my $0.02, probably only worth 1 with inflation.

I think good price

Here in the rust belt, if you can find a rotty car with any motor for under 5 large your are doing good.
Believe me I know - I looked seemingly forever. I ended up driving 8 hours one way to mine.

Come to think about it, it will be 3 years ago to the day on December 23rd!! happy b-day car.

I think 10k cash will take the car. Always see a car in person. If you need to replace the 1/4's etc.. not worth it.

I disagree.  Quarters are really not that big a deal.  Same w/trunk (although a lot of work to get them to fit is req'd).  Big minuses are frame/crossmember rot and firewall rot.

Sure it'll take $15k to restore it somewhat right, but 340 (even non-numbers matching) 'Cudas are worth serious money these days.  The rubber bumper option and fender tag makes it worth money.

I look at it as more of a " buyer beware ".
Any one buying a car should see it in person anyway.
If you are going to drop 10 large on a vehicle, the $250 in air fare is a drop in the bucket.

The internet is cool for ultra hard to find, but I'll scan the swap meets all weekend long to see it in person.

Hey CudaGuy I'm about 45 minutes from them so if you’re interested in it I could go check it out for ya. Maybe I could drag along Lemonboy and Onebadhemi for a few opinions.

But so you know I've been up there before and they had all kinds of cars from junk to fully restored. I know they post in our for sale section once in a while. I don't think you would buy one without looking at it but my advice is to have it checked out in person. I've seen stuff out of there and the photo's reminded me of a internet dating forum 10 year old photos and doesn't quite represent the condition.

The car doesn't look bad, but a few more pics. would help their cause. I know they don't exactly sell top of the line stuff, but this might only need a little TLC to be a really nice car. In my opinion, I don't like the front bumper. The center caps in the Rally wheels are wrong for the year, so who knows what hides inside or underneath the hood :dontknow: Still, that isn't a bad price for a 70 if it's in decent shape. By that, I mean they didn't paint over rust :ack:
