A - Brown
B - Pink on original harness (Ignition On Power)
F1 - Red
F2 - Green
P - Blue
W - Washer Motor (Not sure what color Painless provides for this wire run)
B/U - Not Connected

With Slott's help a couple weeks ago we put this little diagram together....I thought I was calling the pizza delivery guy but when Slott's answered I decided to pick his brain instead of picking pepperoni with extra cheese

thank you Slotts,
but unfortunatly my painless harness does not have but one wire "pink" for the wiper motor so if I just knew where to put those wires coming from the switch to the motor I can see by your post the pink wire goes to b on the switch but where do they go on the motor? the link you posted is for a new switch that converts from 2 speed original switch (which I have) to a 3 speed so it does not help me, I really need from point "a" switch to point"b" motor wire by wire or I am sunk, again Thank you for your help and any help I can get I really appreciate.

One problem I had with my '70 Challenger 2 speed wiper switch was that it was not grounded properly, most important if you want the wipers to "park"

I have a couple questions for you.

1. What type of motor do you currently have? Kim's website shows three speed motors pictures.

2. Are you converting from a two to a three speed setup or not?

3. What part number is on the switch? 2770380, 2947404, 3488764 or 3488773?

Knowing these answer will help get to issue solved.

Your last post gave me something to work with in trying to help get this resolved.

The 3488623 wiper switch you have is not from an E body. It is from a 72 - 73 C body. I found front and back pictures of the part number you have listed. It is retangular in shape and the handle moves vertically. Not being sure if the switch panel has been modified to mount this switch, you may want to install the correct switch. The correct one for a 73 E body is a 3488773 two speed rotary switch.

I am familiar with only a couple of model numbers for the two speed E body motors, 2926929 and 3431718. There may be other model number motors for the E bodies. With the part number for the motor you have being 3799239 seems really high for an E body. The second digit 7 might have that being from mid to upper 70s.

I have circled with colors the connections between switch and motor without anything else in line. The Pink line is the power from the Painless harness. I am showing the short harness that connects between the motor and the bulkhead connector. Since you are using the Painless setup, you will be wiring directly from the switch to the motor.

These are the position names on the 3488773 circuit board.

A - Brown
B - Pink on original harness (Ignition On Power)
F2 – Green
H - Red
P - Blue

I hope this was able to help you. Please don't laugh at the motor ( :eek4: ), it's just a test motor and it works!  :grinyes:

Slotts, you are the Man, Thank you very much, this is exactly what I needed, painless gives very little help with the dash area, well actually very limited instructions at all and next up is the head light switch and the dome light with dimmer, I also think I am going to have to buy some relays for the Acessories and something else as the kit did not come with them, I really appreciate the help, you are a life saver, I looked long and hard and came up empty, I hate to be a pain but could ya steer me in the right direction on the dimmer and headlight switch I have no old harness for reference and just need to know what painless wire goes where, also, let me know what kind of beer ya drink cause I owe ya.

I'm actually in the middle of a Painless wiring harness install myself (mine is the universal harness since my car is far from stock).  I have the 3-speed wiper motor, so I made a harness with 4 new wires that run to the motor from the switch. Then I added the 1 power wire from the Painless harness to the connector.

Anyway, I'm assuming you are using the PN 10127 Mopar harness?  I haven't researched that but a quick look at the instructions and it appears that it's close to mine, so here's how I think its wired up:

Headlight switch:
H terminal - #907 (headlights)
B2 terminal - #959 (tail lights)
R terminal - #929 and #927 both connect to this (parking lights, tail lights, dash lights)
B1 terminal - #928 (main power feed)

Panel Dimmer switch:
D terminal - #961 (ground for dome light)
R terminal - #930 (panel dimmer for gauge lights)
I terminal - #929 (power to panel dimmer and then on to tail lights)

Foot high beam switch:
top terminal - #908 high beams
middle terminal - #907 power feed from headlight switch
bottom terminal - #909 low beams

I've hand drawn it on paper and if it would be useful I can scan it tomorrow.  Some day I'll actually draw out the circuits on the computer, but that's a ways off.

Glad to help and hear it worked out for you. No, you don't owe me anything. We're all here to help. Anything to see another Mopar get on the road. There's one thing maybe you could do if you don't mind. I would really like to see what sort of documentation you get with a Painless harnesses kit. If it's possible to send a file, if the give you a disc, to jsrestorations@rocketmail.com would be great!

BTW, welcome to CC.com. There's a newbie section here if you would like to introduce yourself and post a couple of pictures.

Travis, it looks like you've put a lot of work into that.  :2thumbs:

So, you like that wiper motor, Kim?  :roflsmiley:

Thank you for posting the link. Now I can see what you get to work with. Makes sense with the 9## numbers in Travis's post, too. Where I can now see it getting confusion is how the start point for instance is referenced as a switch and not an exact pin location. The starter relay is detailed, but that's about it. I get it now. Travis, nice work with the cross referencing to the ID's on the switches.  :2thumbs:  If you don't have the factory harness for a guide, it can be difficult to decifer.

Thanks again for posting the link  :2thumbs:.
