Need some quick help with a wiper motor thats not working.

A call w/b great, but if not, just an email. My 72 Cuda wiper motor will not run. I THINK there is power there as I used a volt meter to check it by grounding it to the mounting stud on the firewall and then poking the red lead onto the solder where the wire runs into the center along what appears to be a bare wire and I get 12Volts. Any quick tips w/b appreciated as I have a BUYER lined up and he is concerned.
