    100 Octane fuel at the pump.

    I stoped to get gas at a new gas station in town today, and saw that the offer 100 octane VP racing fuel at the pump.  :2thumbs:

    Not cheap though........$8.79.9 per gallon.  :faint:

    Was that the 100 octane race gas or the streetblaze 100 unleaded? Either way it's still cool to be able to buy 100 octane at a regular gas station and not have to go to the track!   :burnout:

    What kind of station was it?  Some independent I assume, but which?  I'll have to see if I can find some to try out.

    I'd guess the streetblaze since it says it on the pump. I seriously doubt they can sell leaded fuel at a pump.
    Those drums of race gas start looking real attractive again when gas starts hitting $4 per gallon. Buying in bulk and no DOT taxes help as well.

    I used to run about a 50/50 mix of that in Las Vegas a few years ago. At the time I think  it was a crazy price of 4.50/gallon. The car ran much better with that 100 mixed in. Vapor locking in those 110* summer days went away as well

    we have a couple stations way out in the sticks near the evergaldes that sell av gas for airboats, etc, but Ive never been there. Lots of the racers make the trek though.

    I put Sunoco race fuel in from the stock car track I work at sometimes. Can't say I notice much of a difference power wise( as I'm not changing the tune for 1 tank full) But I DO like the smell! It's like perfume! :grinyes: :icon16: :rebel:

    It was at a Texaco station, with a car wash no less.

    I want to try some in my 318..........but it won't be a full tank... :grinno:......at that price.

    Wish we had 100 octane here at the pump like that but 8.79 a gal  :eek4: They're sure proud of that
