Old school drag racing
« on: April 17, 2011 - 01:14:17 PM »
Okay guys me and my nephew were bored one nite and we were talking bout old school racing back in the day before there was ever a such thing as a tree. I mean WAY back when there was a flagger at the starting line and no such thing as bracket racing just good old true racing and when you lost you were done period. Well i gots to thinkin and thought hum.. i just wonder if there is such a special day that maybe a track around somewhere has somethig like this. I know i have never heard of any. And i'm not talkin bout special events or well known races i'm talkin just regular track nites. Anyone here know of a track thats does such of a thing  :dunno: Just curious to know if there is such a thing anymore or if its ever been talked about doing such a thing. I think it would be awesome  :grinyes:

Go to a "Pinks" event with Rich Christensen. He flags all the cars old school style without using the tree. Unfortunately Pinks is taking a production break for 2011. But don't fret. It was the most successful show on the 'speed' network and should be returning. They traveled to 34 dragstrips last year. It's old school at it's finest!!  :burnout:
