Any Washington State Residents that can inspect a 'Cuda?
« on: April 19, 2011 - 11:22:57 AM »
Looking for anyone near Sedro Woolley, WA who could look at a Barracuda that appears to be at a dealership of sorts...

Here's the auction: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=180655310848&viewitem=&sspagename=ADME%3AB%3ASS%3AUS%3A1123#v4-38

I like this car...

If anybody could put a pair of eyeballs on it for me, I'd really appreciate it - shoot me a PM or email - jsknapp1@yahoo.com

Thanks.

I'm about 4 hours (8 total) away from there.  I might be able to take a look next weekend.
The funniest thing about this particular signature is that by the time you realize it doesn't say anything it's to late to stop reading it.

Hmm, that's a helluva lot of driving.  Other problem is it ends this weekend.  Judging from his other auctions, he prices these things to sell...

Yeah - it does look familiar...  It's definitely not mine though - way too much is different (and better!)  I'm thinkin' about givin' it a go...

I paid an inspection service to check mine out before buying 8 years ago.  Was well worth the money.

I have heard of others using this place.  http://www.cars-on-line.com/insp-howwork.html

Really??  I dunno - just feels kinda shady.  You can't search by area, so there's no way of knowing if they have people in the area I'm looking at, there's no phone number to call (that I could find...)  Just, "hand over your Visa number and hope for the best..."

I used the Cars online inspectors for a Challenger I was interested in Georgia.  I live in WA.  Excellent report.  They drive it, inspect everything, and take tons of photos.  Well worth the money.  Then they email everything to you.  Cost was $95 about 5 yrs ago.

Yeah I did find the number later - made me feel a little better about it.  But through some searching I found places a little cheaper - waiting to hear back from one of them.

Thanks!

It looks like this is going to be a moot point - this guy is asking WAY too much for this car.  I've bid it up to $19,900 using two accounts, and STILL haven't passed the reserve.  I sent him an email telling him he was asking too much, and if he wanted to get realistic, to let me know.

Sucks - I really wanted this car.

Take off those front bumper guards and you got a great looking car.

You couldn't build it for 30k.  Call me stupid, but I like that the paint is 10 yrs old.  You know what your getting.

Yeah that was basically the only thing I didn't like about the car.

I told the seller my $20,000 bid was valid, and suggested he research what other round-taillight cars are going for.  If he gave me a second-chance offer, I'd take it.  He's just selling the car for someone else, but said he'd let them know.
