Id want to make sure that this is the appearance of a 71. I believe my colors are a little faded.... and it needs rebuilt.

Looks pretty good to me.

Let me know if you want to sell you old one?
The funniest thing about this particular signature is that by the time you realize it doesn't say anything it's to late to stop reading it.

I used to have one of those. Very accurate and much more responsive than the heavy needled originals. The spacing between the numbers isn't quite like the originals, but most wouldn't notice that.

If you want the long story of it...I sold it along with my 72-74 Rally gauges. I then bought a set of 70 gauges and had some rebuilt. I paid thru the nose, but that's what you get for being anal.

Mine has been in for about 6 years now.  No problems.  Very responsive.

Did you install this?  I'm considering getting one and thought I'd check with you to see if you are happy with it and how easy it was to install.

It should be cheaper to send them your original for a rebuild.  I believe it will run you around $100 rebuilt with the new tach board and calibrated.

Also, isn't the 70-71 tach 7K, and the 72-74 8K, which appears to be the one they are selling?

It's the other way around. 70-71 are 8K tachs.

Oops.  Thanks for the correction.  Now I have to go and see which one I have in mine.
