Proper Paint For '70 Challenger Go Wing?
« on: April 19, 2011 - 06:16:34 PM »
Help me out please?  What's the proper finish for a Go Wing on a 1970 Challenger R/T?  I always thought it was flat or matte black, but mine was painted gloss black.  I also saw a '70 'Cuda sell at Mecum recently with a gloss black wing.

Ay thoughts?

Thanks!

It should be matte black. Apparently some people alter it a little according to taste, but yeah, it is matte black.

Thanks...that's kinda what I thought too.  I can't think of any trim part or decal of that era that Mopar did in a gloss finish.
