Veery cool history!  Love seeing stuff like this!  :grinyes:
1972 Dodge Challenger Rallye 340, AT, Code TB3=Super Blue, SBD=8/17/1971.  Yes, a Rallye without the fender louvers from the factory because of the body side molding option.

Pic #2 and 3 of my ARII 1/24 scale model car

Phil in New England-Massachusetts  Always thank God for what you have!

Super Blue 72,thanx for the comment.I will always reply to comments made so I can keep the interest in this project going till it is done, hopefully soon as I have a chance to display the car at the U.S. Nats. this fall,60th anniv. of NHRA and 46 yrs.since "GOLDIE" won the F/S class there.I want everyone to know that when they post a comment here that they should come back to see my response as I will always add a pic and tidbit of info about the restore and /or the history of the car that the G.C.'s have passed on to me.

Hpe600rt, Boy Howdy do I.I have only uploaded the pics of the last few years of the restore and a few select pics but I am going to scan all the before pics this evening to my puter then onto my Photo Bucket so I should be able to post some later this evening.IT WAS A MESS to say the least.I was VERY fortunate that the car sat on just the rims and they sank up to the body in the pasture it was in.It kept the weather from getting under the floor pan and eating it up since the G.C.'s had scraped all the undercoating off of the car to save weight. it would have rusted out completley had that not been the case.I will show you a pic of the interior floor pan and you will see how lucky I was there, what I am saying I was more than that to get her for free.Anyway I ramble.Look later this evening and I'll post a few. Then if there are any paticular pics you want to see let me know and I'll post it.I have too many to post them all sooo....again thanx for your interest.I am working on a humurous post as we speak.Check back soon. In light of the National News yesterday I thought I would prevent any potential BIRTHER issue concerning the heritage of my 1965 Plymouth Barracuda Formula "S" car I nicknamed "GOLDIE" which I claim to be the ORIGINAL "GOLDEN COMMANDOS" "GOLDFISH".Below is a Certified Legal Copy of the Original Registration. Please note that "GOLDIE" was born in Detroit,Mi. on April 3rd,1965.She was born to the Chrysler Corp. -1100.Please note that Division 1100 was the Plymouth Factory Drag Race Team the "GOLDEN COMMANDOS".Please note that H.J.Patterson was in the legal dept. of the "GOLDEN COMMANDOS".I hope this will prevent any silliness or Carnival Barking.Thank you all for having some fun with me,Brusco.

I have decided to add a tidbit of information about my expierence with this restoration that I been been blessed with,or cursed with depending the way you look at it. Every time I get a new reply to this post.I became disabled in 2004 in an accident with my 2year old son at the time,by the way FYI and all that, he is named after Ray Kobe and the friend who gave me the car,and also for my older brother Dan who passed away from cancer just 10 days before our son was born..Bill is the friend who gave me the car and you would think I would use Ray Kobe's first name but my wife and I could not see having a son named Billy Ray for a variety of reasons,so we decided on Kobe William Daniel.I have done the very best I could do within my means to restore this car to original condition for all drag racing fans to enjoy once again.Technology and NHRA rules are somewhat prohibitive and some things just can't be duplicated no matter how much I have tried but I believe the differences will be negligable. Thank you for your interest ,Brusco

Very cool, love the old drag cars. These were the godfathers of the strip.
Wish I could have been a part of that in the sixties but I was born in 73. Two years after the muscle car era died. Just my luck.

Matt 70,It figures.I release it BEFORE anyone had a chance to ask to see it and .... .lol, good one Matt.
Bandt,I was born in '58 and I remember all the Dodge Boys commercials from the sixties.Later in the late '60's-early 70's when I was old enough to really understand all the muscle car hype I loved them.It was great.By the way it was Mopar or no car in my family. My dad bought his first brand new car right after I was born.A 1958 Plymouth Fury with fins you could spike a ham on.It was a Christine car if you will but the color was a light pastel green on white. What a land yacht.Still have home movies of our family going on vacation in that car and all 4 of us kids fit in the back seat no prob.Thanx for the posts guys,Brusco

Brusco, if the comment about the paint name was directed at me, I was referring to the color of the original Golden Commando engines in the 1958 Plymouth Furys. That color was Turbine Bronze metallic. I have the paint code for THAT color and it is almost a dead ringer for the color on that car. Just FYI...
