I stopped by a Firestone dealer today....

They have to order the Indy Firehawk 500 in...but gave me a great price if I go that route......$490 or so installed, etc.

Thats for two 275 60 15 tires and two 235 60 15....

One thing they couldnt do was give me the tire heights.....

I have 15x8, 4.5" backspacing (0 offset) wheels on the back and 15x7 4.0 " backspace (0 offfset)

From what i can see reading other threads they should fit.

The firestone guy says that if there is an issue when he mounts them he will take them back.....

Still not sure i want to go all the way to 275 rear and 235 front.......  :dunno:

Sounds like a good price! Look here for the specs.

IMO, that combo will look good on your 'Cuda. 'Course you could also get Dr.Diff's 1" spring relocation kit and buy 295 rears....

I think it would look good too, but I am concerned about the 27 being "too tall".....I upgraded from 2.76s to 3.55s and dont want to take a hug step backwards......but looking at the rpm/tire size calculator, its only a 200 rpm difference.....so not sure if that would be a huge step back or not..... :clueless:

buy a 275 50 15. not sure if firestone has that size but alot of others do. i have had bfg radial t/a's in that size and nitto's drag radial.

SO that would be a wider tire than the 25/60 but not as tall?

275/50 is a common race tire size, but a fairly uncommon street tire size. I wouldn't go there on a street cruiser.

235/60 and 275/60 is a very common combo for E and B bodied muscle cars. They provide a nice solid look without being a huge impact on fitment. 200 rpm change isn't a large difference. If you car is still on the road, take it for a drive and see what a 200 rpm difference is like. I'm guessing maybe 3-5 mph. If you don't like that, maybe look at Cooper, Dean, or Mickey Thompson for a 255/60. I know with the goofiness of avialable sizes at BFG, MT stepped up quickley with their ST line to fill the void.
