Deja Vu

OKC Thunder vs. Golden State Warriors.

Warriors were 1-3 then went on to win and go to the finals.
Gotta love it

100,000 fans show up near the stadium thinking it's over for game 5.
All they did was waste time assuming Pittsburg would clinch tonite.
getting pre maturely drunk.

When will you learn!
Never say never!

It ain't over until the fat lady sings!

That was a great game and the Pens played well enough to win. They were outplaying the Sharks, outshooting the Sharks, they just couldn't beat the goalie PERIOD!!! The referees allowed OBVIOUS BOARDING PENALTIES and REFUSED TO CALL THEM!!! Typical NHL "Garage League" hockey.

It's O.K. we're coming to California to raise the cup in your barn!!!

Given that Pittsburgh was the better team but Jones was totally amazing!! The reffing also annoys me in that there is no consistancy on what's a penalty and what's not.

Jason,

I think the NHL is trying to become like the NBA. Pretty soon it will be down to 2 games a week so we can draw the season out longer.

Man I hope not!!  Its just crazy that they are playing all the games in the final 2 days apart.  Now we have a Sunday evening game.  Its just too long between games!!!

No way!!

You remember Gary "no teeth " Rissling.

Rissling did the commercial where he said " I'm not just another pretty face ". Then would "smile", scowl.
Maybe Dollar Bank or Giant Eagle, don't remember.

It is yelled "Put in Rissling " mainly when the game is out of reach of the opponent to win or the game is out of reach for the Pens to win, and he couldn't do any damage to change the game.

I probably had the only Rissling jersey at Game 5.

Haha!
See I knew I should have started a fight with Burns at the hotel. Maybe he would have hurt his hands hitting my hard head and not scored that first goal!
We stayed at the same hotel in Pittsburgh where the Sharks stayed.
Watched them all load into the buses and return after the game.

Sharks bus leaving hotel led by two Harleys, the bridge in the background, Sixth St, now called The Roberto Clemente Bridge, was one of the bridge arch superstructures that I climbed after a Penguins game at the Civic Arena in the early '80's , usually drank about 9 or 10 32oz beers during the game.

 :woohoo:
I think the key is to keep MA Fleury out of the game.  The new kid has been great.

I am confused though..why so long between game 4 and 5...the NHL has killed all the momentum and excitement!

I don't see the Pens losing three in a row.
My brother and niece will be at San Jose game Sunday for the Pens win.
It looked like less than 10 Sharks fans at Game 5 , Pittsburgh fans travel, wonder how many will be at Game 6.
Sorry for you to have to see the Sharks lose it all at home.

Pens had so many close shots , opportunities and post shots Game 5 ,  just need 1 or 2 to get by Jones.
