the one we got when disassembled had tapered cylinder walls & over .008 piston wall clearance , no way the rings could seal it
Wouldn't it show from the start then? Why after 250 miles? I spent months on the shortblock so I'm sure about clearences, ringgaps
and openingpositions, the only thing concerning the shortblock I can't stand for is the machinework.
I also have to admit I didn't check if the intake aligned with the heads, stupid thinking that eddyheads and intake would match like a glove.
