A plugged or restricted breather will definatly increase pressure inside the engine & create oil leaks or bulged valley pan.
 leave the pcv valve in the cover & disconnect / plug the hose to it

when running a pcv make sure you have a breather on the opposite valve cover so it can pull fresh air in or you will push oil past the rings or out of a valve cover gasket as well as balloon the valley pan. been there done that one time at the race track took the oil cap off for the day since i have baffles. if your valve covers have a provision for baffles i would bend some up for it. if not maybe weld some in there?

I had the same problem on my 408 and it turned out that the engine was burning oil because of excessive crank case pressure.  The excessive pressure was causing oil leaks and under throttle the pressure was pushing oil past the piston rings back onto the cylinders.  My engine was force inducted and that might have been a reason for some of the excessive crank case pressure.  The two open air breathers on each valve cover weren't enough to get rid of the pressure.  But, after I came up with a PCV related system of relieving the crank case pressure, the smoke from the exhaust and the oil leaks completely stopped.  For what ever it's worth, check for excessive crank case pressure before tearing down the engine.   
Cuda 408, Ford EFI, Magnum heads, Vortech V-2 Si-Trim, A-518 transmission and 3.23 gears.

Waiting for my new sparkplugs to arrive and then a long testdrive with only breathers installed without PCV, hopefully that will tell more
about the problem.

BTW, are baffleplates in the VC's needed even if you don't run PCV?

Per - Look at what the factory did with these cars when they were new.  The valve covers had baffles to prevent oil being drawn into the PCV system, and yes...they had PCV valves.   Quit tryinig to half ass your engine build and do it right.

Phil, I can asure you that with all the time and money I spent on building my stroker a couple of metalpieces wasn't something I tried to save on. As soon as this problem is
sorted out I will fix the baffleplates.  :2thumbs:

Have tested with new plugs and only breathers mounted, much less smoke now. I think another reason for my smoke when accelerating hard is that I mainly drive on small roads where I don't have to give any throttle to cruise and when I do a lot of gas is also burning. I have a Proform 850 race
and when only cruising this torquemonster it's propably to much carb or what do you think?
For example, even in minus degrees it starts immediatly althoug I have no choke.

Is there something over there for cleaning out the combustion chambers? We have this seafoam stuff that supposed to clean out the chambers. I don't know if this board recommends it or not.

Cody, I think Pers' point was that maybe the pvc  was the problem but it is still running rich?
  :dunno: but that would make sense that there is still a little bit of smoke.
If I cant fix it, it's broke

Some answers and thoughts guys,

Due to the wheather I only did 10 miles small, ****roads.
The plugs are now somewhat black but dry, before they werewet with oil.
The smoke when I have the possibility to give serious throttle is white/grey and not blue/black.
About cleaning the chambers I don't know any product for that.

Propably a good highwaytrip would give some better answers because it doesn't give any smoke at stable throttle.
