Thanks for posting.  I love seeing the Barn finds.  Just wish they were for sale and could go to a loving home for restoration.
Maybe History Channel's American Pickers can visit and save some.

H....what's under the hood of the black car in the last pic?  That's a big hood scoop....
1972 Dodge Challenger Rallye 340, AT, Code TB3=Super Blue, SBD=8/17/1971.  Yes, a Rallye without the fender louvers from the factory because of the body side molding option.

Very cool pics I do appreciate and enjoy seeing them with that said. I don`t consider this a collection this is a junkyard. I can respect the fact that the man wants his privacy.
People like this think they are sitting on a mountain of gold only to have it rot out right from under them! If he truly cared about the cars or the hobby in general he would sell and part out some of these cars put that cash to good use and restore the cars he wants to keep. He can`t possibly think he is going to restore them all so whats the point in keeping everything to rot away? This person  looks like a hoarder and can`t let anything go and that is an illness. If he sold a few of his cars and saw one restored he may get a sense of satisfaction in that he helped save the car and brought a little happiness to the new owner but people who hoard don`t think like this.
There is/was a place similar to this in Rhode Island. I think the local authorities made him clean it up and most of it was crushed unless this guy has a change of heart that is probably the fate of most of these cars!

The guy does sell stuff.  He just doesn't want his name or location broadcast across the internet.  He is a bit high on prices though.  He can do whatever he wants with the cars.  I feel bad that they are in that kinda shape, but if he didn't save them years ago.  They would have probably been crushed.

:iagree:  I don't have a problem with the salvage yards buying old cars and parting them out - some must die so that others may live.  And no matter if he sells a few parts, the vast majority of those cars will end up being crushed anyway, whether they were crushed while still newer or old and rotted.  It's a huge waste and it saddens me to look at them and think how many could have been saved or donated parts to other projects.  :walkaway:

Devil,
What a great find.  I agree it is a shame to see the cars in this shape. I also understand why the owner does not want his location and name put out on the Net.  Too many weirdo's out there. He is probably afraid people will start stealing parts of his cars if everybody knows who and where he is. I hope he sells most of the cars and parts before they are completely usless to anybody. A few years ago we tried to buy a couple of 1971 340 Cuda's a guy had and at the time he did not want to sell them. Of course he was one of the people that say "I'm going to restore it one day" kind of guys.  Years later he calls us and tells us he is ready to sell his Cuda's now.  We go to look at them and he wants $2500 for both cars but we had to turn them down.  The rust was so bad on both cars that if you touched the top of the cars your finger would go all the way through the top.  The cars were sunk in the ground. They did not have any tires so they were sitting on their frames in the dirt.  We were afraid if we tried to move the cars they would break in half.  We were really disappointed that he let them get that bad before he was ready to sell them.  One of the cars had a tree laying on top of it because a storm came through and blew the tree down.  The cars did have some good parts on them and we bought what was good off the cars.  Both cars had original luggage racks that we were able to buy for a really cheap price.  It was a very sad day seeing the cars like that.  I have no idea what ever happened to those cars.

So, I have to ask.
Did you get any pictures of any fender tags on the 70's barracuda's?

Can't say I have ever seen a Cricket.

kind of cool, I guess, in it's own right.

I had a Cricket once.  I put a 340 in it.  The car was so uncontrollable that I rolled it.  Think of a mid 70's Corolla.  It is pretty much the same car.

definitely a shame, with not much left being worth saving anymore, but at least in a few more decades they will mostly return to the earth where they came from.
I imagine the heavy parts, like the engine blocks, etc will take a lot longer though.
