Hello folks!
I've heard so much about this sight, its a pleasure to be here!
Owning a '71 hemi 'cuda someday has gone to the top of my bucket list and I have well thought out plan to get there. First plan of action is play every multi-million dollar lottery between now and the Mecum Auction in Indy next week. In the event that plan fails
I'm just going to hope and pray the Mopar Gods smile on me and allow me to find the perfect car in a field, in a barn, in some old ladies garage, at a church sale, etc. Realistically, I'll probably spend the rest of my life dreaming about my 'cuda, but hey, you never know!
I remember like it was yesterday seeing this car around my town, I think I was 10-11 years old and already had a love for cars inspired by my dad. There was an orange Judge in town at the same time, and I'll swear the 'cuda and the Judge would sneer at each other as they passed on High Street. Sounds corny, right?
For a chick, I'm excellent at washing/waxing/detailing. I've even done my own tune ups! My Caddy mech showed me how to clean the throttle body assembly on my Northstar, he said I was ready to do a engine restoration now. I'm thinking he was kidding....
But that would be the goal, to re-birth, (restore), a 71 hemi cuda.
So, in-between buying lottery tickets, checking fields, barns and odd sales, I've decided to jump in here and learn as much as I can "just in case" that car pops up somewhere and I'll be able to evaluate it with some sense of security and knowledge. I'd like to thank you all in advance for your patience and good humor as I'm bound to ask some really ridiculous questions.
Laurie
