Difference between Open and Closed rearends Yes. Posi unit's will spin both tires transfering power almost equally. Lockers do not give and limited slips allow for one tire to slip a bit.

Which rear end did the '71 hemi cuda come with?
What are the advantages/disadvantages between the posi, lockers and limited slip?

Pretty sure they were all posi's not to many hemi's left with less than 500hp from the factory, ( even though they were underrated at 435hp) spinning 1 tire.

 Although I maybe wrong.

Thanks Arno! Are you from the Netherlands? I have a great story that's way off topic... has to do with
a Royal Netherlands P3 (C model I think) that landed and parked beside my Navy C130 in Manama Bahrain years ago.... oh gosh....

When were you in Bahrain? I did a deployment there. By far the best Muslim country I've been too!

Between 2000 and 2002 I had 4 dets, thankfully the transient barracks at ASU weren't completed yet so we got to stay in town every time! Security with us got a whole lot tighter after 9/11 obviously. Loved Bahrain, broke my heart to see them destroy the Pearl Circle. Did you ever go over the bridge? There was a GREAT steak house on the right just past the Saudi check point. I always drove, pissed off the locals quite a bit.  :nono:  Bought 3 rugs at Ethnic Crafts in downtown Manama, spent too much money at the gold sooks too.

UAE was off the charts, Dubai was out of control, streets paved with gold. The Burj was almost completed when I was there last, saw the first islands Mahktoum was building in the Gulf, unreal. Like Bahrain, there were 2 classes of people: those who owned Ferrari's and those who washed Ferrari's.

We had a lot of business throughout the middle east at that time, some of those countries weren't happy to see us land there as you know.

You an ancha-clanka too?

Interesting.... I had a new '78 Tbird that was burnt orange, t-tops etc. Had it for 7 months and a 75 Caddy hit me head on. The T-bird was a total loss, the Caddy needed to be washed. I went back to Caddy after that and have stayed there ever since. Very cool color!!!

"Did I ship my car"

Yes I saw my Challenger on the internet and at that time I was coming across once a year for my holidays. I swung past and had a look but didn't buy, long story, then returned to Australia and negotiated to purchase. Went back, took delivery and drove it from Kansas down through Oklahoma and across to California picking up parts on the way and shipped back to Australia. My Challenger does need to be restored but can be driven as is for a while, it is in storage at the moment but am hoping to get it out soon.   :2thumbs:

Just a heads up, got a member here considering selling either his 70 or 71 cuda. Might want to say hi and convince him to sell the 71  . It's not a hemi, but baby steps lol.

Here is the link.

Worries? What worries? :scared:

Yikes....  do you mean the effort and expense involved in turning a non-71 into a 71?
