Convertible owners, Do these springs belong somewhere?
« on: May 13, 2011 - 10:18:01 PM »
I've parted  many hardtops so I know where most parts go, but I found these springs in the box that came with my vert. Where do these go or did someone throw these in the box to mess with me?  The sill plates that came with my car looked special too since I never saw them on an e-body before. Turns out that they were b-body sill plates.

Those look like the springs that go behind the rear interior panels on the window crank stem to "push" the panel out towards the window crank handle.  I have them on my hardtop, no reason why they wouldn't be on a vert too.

My car has power windows.  You still could be right though. But for windows cranks, wouldn't they be a little short?

they are only about an inch tall, just there to help with fit and finish.

that makes sense I had one on my passenger rear but not on the drivers side and thought someone was just using it as a cheep shim.  :clueless:
