That's him. While we were there yesterday a guy showed up in a 70 Roadrunner that was beautiful. He said that Renee had rebuilt it from practically nothing and didn't use one replacement panel, he just rebuilt/repaired everything that was there. He's got a gen 1 barracuda that he's working on while he has nothing else to do, and since the last time I was there it's gone through a huge change.

:working: The guy can do magic; top notch work. Next time you see him say hi to him from Angelo the body guy from Fajardo and if you go to Centro Pintula say Hi to Angel for me. Thanks and can't wait to see your pics of the car in progress. I will be posting pics of the car I bought in Carolina at Centro Plastico once we get her on the frame machine. Where in Puerto Rico do you live?

I live in Hatillo. Far enough from the city for it to be quiet, but close enough for it to be convenient.

I'll probably head out there tomorrow to help him start work on the car. I'll be sure to say hi for you.

Since the car is a couple of hours away, I've been doing a little re-dying of the interior panels. My passenger door panel was pretty faded and nasty looking but I think it came out pretty good in the end.

I got a few other parts done too, but they were in pretty good shape to begin with so I didn't bother getting any pics.
My driver door panel has a little hole at the top that I'll be doing a little repair work on before I dye it.

I used SEM Landau black. I put about 15 really mist coats on because I had to build up so much color. The other parts only needed 1 or 2 mist coats.

This is my eventual plan for my 72 also. Always wanted a 71 but alas I have a good 72. Do you have to change the front fenders to match up with the front lower valance or just to get the gills and skinny recessed markers? Wondering cause I will probably shave the markers anyway and the gills don't matter to me. I want the grille, 4 headlights, running lights and turn signals/parking lights in valance. Never understood why they changed that when the Challenger kept 4 headlights. Also since you put your name on a new grille whats up with the old one you had on there? selling it? How much repair does it need? By the way nice 'program" should be awesome when done. I don't think I saw, what color are you going back with, sassy grass again?

I'm going to paint it Sassy Grass when I get it done. I needed new fenders, but I think you could probably get away with the 72 ones, other than the fender lights. I'm not sure what I'm going to do with the old grille, but I'll get some pics of the shape it's in now.

I heard from Renee last night and he said that I need a right outer wheelhouse, trunk braces and the thing that supports the lock mechanism for the trunk. None of this really surprises me, I knew there was going to be a lot or work and shiny new sheetmetal involved.
I'll be heading out there on Tuesday to get some pics and to blast the engine compartment.

I spent the day with Renee. We got the car moved from his main garage and back to his shop. He already had the tail panel, trunk floor, extensions, trunk filler and right quarter off the car when I got there. He had the trunk floor and extensions clamped together, but he can't start welding until I get trunk supports and a right outer wheel house, but there's lots of little things to do until then.

The outer wheel house is in horrible shape, and I'd love to know what the last body guy was smoking when he did his work.

The left quarter came off yesterday. The outer wheelhouse on that side was pretty good, so it's just going to get a couple of small, properly done patches. We're waiting for a new right wheelhouse and trunk supports to get here so the back end can go back together, but in the meantime there's lots of little patch jobs to do. We decided yesterday to get a new cowl because the one that's there has a few holes in really difficult patches.

And another shot of Frankenwheelhouse.

Once again, Roseville rocks. I called them up and the service was great.
