Oval 4-bbl Air Cleaner under stock Cuda Rallye Hood???????
« on: May 16, 2011 - 04:44:25 PM »
I have an oval air cleaner that has a 4-bbl baseplate that I would love to use under the stock rallye hood of my 73 Cuda. I bought this off Ebay from a guy who said it would fit and work but it is still too tall. My car has a 440 with a Holley Street Dominator Intake and a 4150 Holley double pumper carb with HP body.

My questions are:
1. Has anyone ever modified one of these steel bases to fit under a stock hood and if so, what mods did you do to make it more of a drop base. Pictures?

2. Does anyone have one they would like to sell that has already been modified?

2. Does anybody sell a repop drop base that will work.

Thanks in advance.....

Here is where I got mine for my T/A hood. I have the SD 440 intake and a Demon 4bbl carb. It just fit.I used a stock steel repop lid. Hope that helps ? I know it's not a Cuda hood.....
