Well, Compared to most on here, I built "Junk" 440's...you know the ones, Iron heads, home port work, Big valves, big 'ol honkin' Solid lifter cam, open plane intake, and headers, with a shot of go-go juice.
I've never had the money for Aluminum heads, and multiple stroker crank kits.
When I build an engine, it has to last for at least 10-15 years. Not something built on Sat., blown up at the track on Monday, and three credit cards later, running on Wendsday...I can't afford to make a mistake when deciding on a roller cam. I have to make it run on motor, or cover it up with nitrous and force it to work as I have one shot at it...I know guys with at least 6 Roller cams on shelves saying things like this one didn't work, or that one didn't perform with the combination, etc. I've run the very engine you have described here and had moderate success with it...I've also had my ass handed to me in a B-body with a 4 gear with the same combo too "Playing around"...
