tunnel ram or similar for a small block
« on: May 22, 2011 - 05:04:52 PM »
hey all,
i am looking for a tunnel ram for a small block.
as cheap as possible, it will be going on my old 318.
a couple of old carbs would also be great, and a scoop.
broken or junk stuff is fine, it will be primarily for looks.

i currently have my new 440 sitting next to my desk at work, and when it goes into the car i would like to have my 318 there, looking mean with a tunnel ram!

or if anyone has a broken old supercharger, that would be great instead!

cheers,
aaron

Interesting, last year on the Boston craigslist there was an engine setup similar to how you are mentioning: 318, tunnel ram, dual carbs but no scoop, had dual velocity stacks.

I look around for a broken supercharger myself, wanted to do a fake supercharger like Mad Max.  I know, weird but I have a hood that was cut for a tunnel ram and thought a fake supercharger poking out would fit the bill.

Look at this link, I have plans in my head for a fakey, but a nice fakey.
