70 ACwater valve
« on: May 23, 2011 - 03:43:49 AM »
My A/C water valve is internally leaking (can't get it OFF). If someone has a nice (may be used) valve at a reasonable price (no that $150 @ebag) - I'm in.

Quapman also has this valve (new) for $100. I just ordered one from him and Iam waiting for it in the mail.

It doesn't look like I have one, although I still have a few boxes to go through

That is strange  :clueless: ,thats how I first got ahold of him, keep trying. Just a note, keep your old valve until you get a new one you might have to switch the actuator on the top of the valve with the one on your old valve. I had to do that with mine as the new valve was totally opposit of the old one.  :working: I used a small grinder to remove the crimped end on the pivot pin and popped it out ,switched it over, put the pin back in and flared the end again with a punch. Doesn`t take long and it works great.  :2thumbs: Good luck

I dont discard mine yet as it is only leaking internally and vents blow HOT.  In fact I could just disassemble it and shut it off permanently with some epoxy...
