3"spring relocation question

i have a 70 dart with an 8 3/4 rearend housing that already has the perches welded on it the relocation just need to set the body up. has anyone done this? doesn't look really hard to do just wanting to get other peoples experience.

Interested in what's involved in doing this myself, how much cutting is required, mini-tubs?, etc.  Might consider this for the Roadrunner ...

the 3 " relo kit usually requires notching the front mount into the frame rail & re creating the rear mount , you then need different offset wheel or could mini tub to increase tire size

Any experience on how wide a wheel & tire this allows without tubbing?  Also, any idea what the offset of say a 10" or 12" rear wheel would need to work without tubbing?  I might consider doing this to the Roadrunner, but the less I have to cut the better.  The fact that I have to cut at all makes this a tough enough thing to do for me...
