six pack throttle return springs
« on: May 26, 2011 - 11:11:05 AM »
Hi,

should there be two  throttle return springs in 340 six pack carbs set up? I noticed from  the service manual that there is also mentioned "assistant spring"? Should it work only with the main spring? My throttle return is now quite slow and ordered the original spring because it did not seemed to be correct but then noticed this assistant spring.

Thanks!

to my knowledge there was only one spring but I would never run with less than 2 as I have seen what happens when one spring breaks . there is a spring on the throttle shaft of the carb to assist closing
