OOOOh man, i can not believe i have been thru all these pages, talk about waste of time :swear:. its like watching a soap, you miss 12 episodes and they still havent got out of the room when you watch again.

I didn't go through every page of this, but I do have recollection of something that was pretty interesting. This may have been talked about before somewhere on the site, but I have never seen it mentioned.  BUT, has anyone ever seen the Brady Bunch episode with a '72 Barracuda CONVERTIBLE on it?  It was one of the B-# Blue , a convertible and round taillights.  I used to have the episode recorded when the Brady Bunch re-runs were on all the time. OK OK, yes, I used to enjoy the Brady Bunch!   They had it parked in the driveway, and the boys were playing basketball or something outside behind the car.  But, I was just wondering if anyone knew the story behind that car.  Maybe they switched the tail panel out to market the '72? Was there 1 '72 Barracuda Conv made?

1972 Dodge Challenger Rallye 340, AT, Code TB3=Super Blue, SBD=8/17/1971.  Yes, a Rallye without the fender louvers from the factory because of the body side molding option.

There is an old ad out there floating around with a 71 T/A picture on it. From what I'm told, they slapped a 71 grill on a 70 to make the ad. No T/A's were made in 71, but they were planning to make them, but scrubbed the idea at the last minute. I met a guy last year that had money down on a 71 T/A. They called him a few weeks later with the sad news.  :crying:

If you look close on a good copy of the 71 TA ad, then you will see that it the 340 six pack logo was airbrushed over.  No 71 T/A's, but you will always hear guys at the Mopar Nationals claiming to know the guy, who knows the guy, who used to own the car.

I am a newbie and so after reading this post, I am now initiated.

It was enjoyable reading the facts and the knowledge that everyon has regarding mopars.


The question I have, is
1. Why do all mopar fanatics run up to you car and look first at the VIN?
2. Then if something doesnt match, or its not number matching, they develop an attitude?
