Anybody using the Classic industries parts yet?
« on: May 27, 2011 - 06:34:41 PM »
Just curious, their prices are considerably cheaper than AMD, but if they take a lot more effort to get on then it would definitely be worth the extra cash to get AMD. Anybody using them yet?

Classic Industries doesn't make the parts they sell.

Who makes their parts?

I ordered my catalog back when they said they were gonna make one. I got it a few months later.

They sell most of the same stuff as Year One, from pretty much all the same sources.  They specialize in GM, so I'm not sure what kind of "expertise" you'll get with the sales guys.  I would stick with the brand guys like Roseville and Tony's, etc.  At least there you will know who you are talking to, and that they know their Mopars inside and out.

Oh, ok. Thanks yall. I found an AMD dealer close. I'll get in touch with them. I have to order a whole bunch of parts so it would probably be better to but through a shop instead of paying outrageous shipping.

If you're ordering a bunch of metal, ask them if they drop ship, so they'll have them delivered to their shop and you go pick them up, and shipping should be free that way.  I ordered my quarters through a Camaro shop that way.  It can easily save you $200 or more, plus hopefully they will give you their dealer price.  I would think any body shop would be able to order them for you.
