Is the factory shroud & fan compatible with the Champion radiators?  I'm considering either a 3 or 4 row 26" small block with automatic but would like to retain the factory shroud since I just bought it!  Pics if you have them.

If you have a decent alternator that will put out enuf amps, a good electric fan is the only way to go.

The factory stock 26" ebody shroud fit fine on my 2 row Champion with no mods.  On the 4 row I had to do some massaging to make it fit.  When done there is a 1/4" gap all around the shroud.  Not sure how the fit on the 3 row would be.  The 4 row sure does cool like heck.

Thanks for the photos 500stroker. :ylsuper:

Perhaps those who are "marketing" this product should do something similar with the 3 and 4 row radiator since many find the use and fitment of a shroud important when considering the purchase of an aftermarket radiator.

is there any way to get a good answer on this--does the factory shroud fit on the 3 core Champion?

last year i had a three row with the stock shroud it fit fine! i have upgraded my alternator to a 90 amp denso so it runs the fans just fine. anyway you go you can't beat the performance of the champion radiator for the money.
